Why is our IP geolocation tool suddenly having a mid-life crisis with its location accuracy?

hey everyone, following up on my last post about IP lookup accuracy. it seems like our tool is having a bit of a moment.

• our IP geolocation tool has started acting a bit... peculiar lately, almost like it's throwing a tantrum.
• it's giving some really bizarre results for specific IPs, like placing users in the ocean or completely different continents when they're clearly not there, impacting our location data quality.
