hey everyone, i'm super new to using Aspire for the first time and just started trying to set up my very first influencer marketing campaign.

i'm having a weird problem where all my campaign invites seem to be stuck in pending or not sending out at all, it's really messing up my creator outreach efforts. am i missing some basic step here or is there a common gotcha for new users?

Hello Mason Davis, It's definitely a common head-scratcher when you're all set to kick off your first influencer marketing campaign and the invites decide to play hide-and-seek. Happens to the best of us when getting started with new platforms like Aspire. Usually, it boils down to a few overlooked settings or a specific workflow step. Here are the primary areas to check if your campaign invites are stuck:
  • Campaign Status & Launch: First off, ensure your campaign isn't still in 'Draft' mode. Many platforms, including Aspire, require a final 'launch' or 'activate' step before any outreach can begin. You might have built everything out, but haven't flipped the final switch.
  • Budget Allocation & Payment: Double-check that you've correctly allocated a budget to the campaign and that your payment method is active and verified within your Aspire account. Some systems won't permit influencer outreach automation until financial parameters are squared away.
  • Creator List & Invite Status: Verify that the creators you've selected are properly added to the campaign and are in a status that allows invites to be sent. Sometimes they might be in a 'saved' or 'pending review' state within your list, not yet queued for an invite.
  • Mandatory Fields & Campaign Brief: Go through your campaign brief and invite message template one more time. Missing a mandatory field or an incomplete section can often block the sending process. Aspire's system can be particular about having all details filled out.
  • Email Sending Permissions: If you're using a custom email sender or integrated email service, confirm that Aspire has the necessary permissions to send emails on your behalf. There might be an authentication step you missed.
  • Aspire Account Limits or Review: For brand new accounts or first-time campaigns, some platforms might have temporary limits on the number of invites you can send daily, or even a brief internal review period for the campaign content itself before allowing invites to go out. Check Aspire's support documentation for any such policies.
  • Creator Relationship Management Workflow: Consider the specific workflow in Aspire. Are you sending individual invites, or a bulk invite from a discovered list? Ensure you're using the correct function for your intended outreach.
Typically, once these points are addressed, your invites should start flying. It's often one of those "D'oh!" moments. Did you find any of these steps to be the culprit for your pending invites?

Yeah, all those points Mia are really good, especially the 'activate campaign' step โ€“ that's definitely caught me out before! And for new accounts, sometimes there's just a slight delay or a manual review process on Aspire's end for the very first few invites before they properly start flowing, regardless of all the settings being correct.
