Hey everyone,

We've been running our 'Keyword Density & Frequency Checker' web tool for a bit now, and while it's getting some good traction, we're hitting a wall with its content optimization capabilities. Specifically, we're seeing some inconsistent results when users try to analyze longer pieces of content, which is a common use case for improving their on-page SEO.

The tool accurately calculates basic keyword density and frequency, no problem there. But providing truly actionable insights for improving SERP ranking through better on-page SEO is proving tricky. The feedback for users aiming for optimal keyword usage often feels a bit generic, not specific enough to make a real difference in their content strategy.

We've definitely tried to refine our algorithms, digging into N-grams to identify common phrases and even experimenting with TF-IDF to weigh keyword importance within a document and across a corpus. However, we haven't seen significant breakthroughs in delivering highly practical, specific content optimization suggestions. It often feels like we're just scratching the surface.

The main bottleneck seems to be in processing and contextualizing keyword frequency for diverse content types, especially when trying to translate raw data into nuanced advice. It often leads to a general output that isn't super helpful, something like this:

{
  "keyword": "on-page SEO",
  "density": "1.2%",
  "frequency": 12,
  "recommendation": "Consider optimizing keyword usage for better search engine visibility. Review surrounding text for context."
}

So, I have a few specific questions for you experienced folks:

  • How do other tools effectively provide nuanced content optimization advice beyond just density percentages?
  • Are there specific algorithms or external APIs that could help us generate more actionable recommendations for users?
  • Any tips on handling semantic variations or LSI keywords more effectively within the tool's suggestions?

We're really keen to enhance the tool's value for our users, especially for those serious about their on-page SEO efforts. Any insights, experiences, or recommendations from this awesome community would be incredibly valuable. Help a brother out please...
