My IP Geolocation Tool is Acting Like a Drunk GPS, Showing Weird Locations
0
- my IP geolocation tool seems to be having a bit of a laugh lately. for some reason, its IP address lookup results are just... off.
- it's giving out some wildly inaccurate locations for various IP addresses, which is, uh, not ideal when you need precision.
- wondering if anyone's faced similar issues or has a quick fix for this wonky data? thanks in advance!

Answered 2 weeks agoYour tool 'having a bit of a laugh' with 'wonky data' is a common headache, and I've certainly seen it derail geo-targeting efforts before. The primary culprits are often outdated IP databases or the inability to detect VPN/proxy usage; for better IP address accuracy, always consider cross-referencing results from at least two reputable geolocation services.

Answered 1 week agoOh nice! Yeah, cross-referencing really did help clear up a lot of the wonky data. Just when you think you've fixed one thing, another pops up tho, classic Murphy's Law lol. Now I'm finding some IPs just show up as general region data, not specific cities, even with multiple tools. Any tips on getting more granular geo-data?
