Hey everyone, I just launched a super simple web tool called 'What is My Country?' It's pretty straightforward โ€“ it shows users their current country and IP location. The idea was to make something quick and useful, but I'm hitting a snag with the IP address lookup accuracy.

I'm getting inconsistent results, especially noticeable with mobile users and those on VPNs. Often, the reported location is either completely wrong or just too broad to be useful, which is frustrating when the core function isn't reliable. So, I'm reaching out to the community here: how can I significantly improve the accuracy of the IP address lookup data for my tool?

Are there specific APIs, databases, or techniques (like combining multiple sources) that you recommend for better geo-location accuracy? I'm particularly interested in how other tools handle the challenges posed by mobile ISPs and VPNs. Is there a magic bullet or a best practice I'm missing?

Help a brother out please, any advice would be awesome!

Hello Rahul Sharma,
I'm hitting a snag with the IP address lookup accuracy.
For significantly better IP geolocation services, especially with tricky mobile ISPs and VPNs that always seem to mess with geo-targeting, your best bet is to integrate a premium API like MaxMind GeoIP2 or IPinfo.io, often combining their data for more robust results. Hope this helps your conversions!

Oh man, this is super helpful! MaxMind GeoIP2 and IPinfo.io sound exactly like what I need to look into. Really appreciate you taking the time to give such specific recommendations, thanks a ton...
