I'm a bit confused about what exactly to write for alt text.
The primary rule of thumb for effective alt text is to describe the image accurately and concisely for someone who cannot see it. This serves two critical purposes: improving image accessibility for visually impaired users via screen readers and providing context to search engines like Google, which helps with your overall search engine ranking factors. When crafting alt text for your SaaS website, focus on what the image depicts and how it relates to the surrounding content. If it's a screenshot of your product's UI, describe the feature being shown. If it's an icon, explain its function. Naturally incorporate relevant keywords where appropriate, but strictly avoid keyword stuffing, as this can be detrimental to your SEO efforts. Think of it as a brief, descriptive caption that provides equivalent information to the image itself. Tools like Lighthouse in Chrome DevTools can help you audit for missing alt text, improving your site's overall image accessibility. Hope this helps your conversions!

Okay, describing it for someone who can't see it kinda makes total sense for the accessibility side. I'm gonna go through my product pages tomorrow and check all my images against that rule.
