Experiencing inconsistent AS number resolution for specific mobile ISPs on 'What is My ISP?' tool

our 'What is My ISP?' tool typically performs well, accurately identifying internet service providers for most users, especially those on fixed-line connections. however, we're encountering a persistent issue where the AS number identification for mobile network users is frequently inaccurate or generic. instead of showing the actual mobile ISP, it often defaults to a major backbone provider or a CDN's AS number, which isn't helpful for our users. we're using a combination of geo-IP databases and reverse DNS lookups, cross-referencing with BGP routing tables. the challenge seems to be particularly pronounced with mobile IPs due to things like carrier-grade NAT (CGNAT) and the dynamic nature of their IP assignments. our AS number lookup for these ranges is just... off. we've tried integrating data from a few different IP lookup APIs, but the AS number discrepancy for mobile users persists across them. for instance, a user on 'AT&T Mobility' in the US might show up as 'Level 3 Communications' or 'Cloudflare's AS' rather than 'AT&T Services, Inc.' which is the expected result. it's really messing with our data accuracy for mobile segments. looking for robust strategies or alternative data sources for more accurate AS number and ISP identification specifically for mobile IP ranges, or perhaps common pitfalls we might be missing in our current implementation. anyone faced this before?
