cPanel errors driving me nuts!

Hey everyone,

I'm completely losing my mind here trying to fix a critical issue with our Website Maintenance & cPanel Management Services. we've got a client's site totally down and i've been on this for hours. it's one of those weird cpanel errors that just doesn't make sense.

Here's what's going on:

• The Core Problem: The client's site (WordPress) is showing a "Error establishing a database connection" and the cPanel interface itself is incredibly slow, sometimes timing out when trying to access PHPMyAdmin or File Manager.
• What I've Tried So Far:
  • Restarted Apache and MySQL services multiple times via SSH.
  • Checked disk space in cPanel – it's only at 60%, so not a full drive issue.
  • Verified database credentials in wp-config.php – they are correct.
  • Ran 'Repair Database' from cPanel (when it loads) – no change.
  • Checked the Apache error logs and MySQL error logs – nothing immediately obvious, just some "connection refused" type messages but no clear root cause.
  • Pinged the server IP – it's reachable.
• What's baffling me: No recent changes were made to the site or server configs. it just... died. and the cPanel slowness suggests it's not just a database issue but something deeper with the server itself. This is really messing with our routine cPanel management tasks.

Has anyone ever encountered a situation where cPanel itself becomes unresponsive / slow *alongside* a database connection error, without clear error logs? Is there some specific cPanel service or configuration I should be checking that might cause this? I'm thinking maybe a resource limit but cPanel isn't showing any obvious alerts. help a brother out please, this is urgent!
