hi everyone, i'm new to aspire and trying to get my first campaign off the ground. it's been a bit confusing.

  • Background: Just signed up for Aspire, first time using an influencer marketing platform. i'm trying to launch a small campaign for a new SaaS feature, hoping to get some initial traction.
  • Goal: Connect with 5-10 micro-influencers for product reviews/mentions. i think this approach to creator marketing is best for my budget right now.
  • What I've Done:
    • Set up my brand profile.
    • Created a new campaign in Aspire.
    • Used the discovery tool to find some potential creators.
    • Started drafting outreach messages.
  • The Problem: I'm stuck trying to properly set up the 'deliverables' and 'payment terms'. Every time I try to save a specific task, i get some weird error. it's making it impossible to finalize the campaign, and i'm really not sure what i'm doing wrong.
  • Illustrative Error: I keep getting something like this in my console when trying to save:
    Error: ASPIRE_CAMPAIGN_DELIVERABLE_SAVE_FAILED
Details: "Invalid configuration for task type 'Instagram Story'. Missing required field 'story_duration_seconds'."
    Code: 400
  • Specific Questions:
    • How do i correctly define deliverables for different social platforms (e.g., Instagram stories vs. YouTube videos)? it seems like the fields change and i'm missing something.
    • Is there a common mistake i'm making with payment terms for micro-influencers? i'm trying to set a flat fee but it keeps asking for more details.
    • Any tips for a complete beginner on Aspire to avoid these setup headaches? i feel like i'm just fumbling around.
  • Closing: really appreciate any guidance from folks who've used this platform a lot. waiting for an expert reply. thanks!

Hey Zola Traore, navigating a new influencer platform can definitely feel like fumbling around in the dark, especially when you're trying to drive initial SaaS growth and the system throws cryptic errors at you.

Regarding your 'ASPIRE_CAMPAIGN_DELIVERABLE_SAVE_FAILED' error, it's a common platform quirk: for Instagram Stories, you must explicitly define the story_duration_seconds, even if it seems obvious, by inputting a value like '15' for 15 seconds. Each social platform and content type (e.g., Instagram Reel, YouTube video) in Aspire will have its own dynamically appearing set of required fields, so always check for specific duration, number of posts, or other content parameters.

For payment terms, even with a flat fee, most creator marketing platforms like Aspire require you to specify the payment trigger or milestone, such as "paid upon content approval" or "X days after campaign completion." Look for dropdowns or radio buttons related to the timing of the payment within that section.

A quick tip for beginners: always start by reviewing Aspire's own help documentation for specific deliverable types, as they detail every required field. It's also wise to set up a very simple, single-creator test campaign first to iron out these workflow kinks before launching your full initiative.

Hope this helps your conversions!

Thanks Harper Miller, I was completely overlooking those duration fields, but explicitly adding '15' seconds for stories fixed that specific error. Specifying the payment trigger for a flat fee also cleared up the payment terms section perfectly.
