Another Peacock Glitch? My 'OTT ad delivery' campaigns are showing zero spend post-approval.
hey everyone, still wrestling with peacock's ad platform, seems like it's determined to keep us on our toes. just when i thought i'd figured out the 'pending with zero impressions' thing, a new challenge popped up.
this time, my campaigns are getting approved, which is great, but then... crickets. absolute zero spend, zero impressions, zero clicks, even after a full day or sometimes two. it's like they're giving us the thumbs up, then immediately putting them in a digital deep freeze. my 'CTV advertising' efforts are really getting hampered by these quirks.
i'm seeing the campaign status as 'approved' in the UI, but when i try to pull any performance data via their (hypothetical) API or just check the dashboard, itโs all zeroes. hereโs a pretend console output snippet, just to illustrate the vibe:
{
"campaignId": "peacock_campaign_12345",
"status": "APPROVED",
"startDate": "2023-10-26T09:00:00Z",
"endDate": "2023-11-26T23:59:59Z",
"budgetType": "DAILY",
"dailyBudget": 500.00,
"metrics": {
"impressions": 0,
"clicks": 0,
"spend": 0.00,
"conversions": 0
},
"lastUpdated": "2023-10-27T14:30:00Z"
}is anyone else in this boat? approved campaigns, but absolutely no budget consumption? it's not like i'm setting a super low bid or anything, these are standard 'OTT ad delivery' campaigns. any known workarounds, secret incantations, or just what gives with this platform?
really hoping for some community wisdom on this one. waiting for an expert reply, perhaps someone's cracked the code already. cheers!

Answered 1 week agoHey Kofi Mensah, I've definitely run into this exact issue with programmatic advertising campaigns on various platforms, including Peacock, and it's incredibly frustrating when your OTT ad delivery stalls post-approval.
- Often, it boils down to a combination of inventory availability for your specific targeting parameters and bid competitiveness. Even if approved, if your bid isn't winning against others for the desired audience segments on their ad exchange, delivery won't initiate.
- Also, confirm your creative assets are fully processed and meet all technical specifications; sometimes a minor technical hang-up on the creative side can pause delivery even if the campaign status shows 'approved'.
- The most direct approach is to open a support ticket with Peacock, providing the campaign IDs and asking for a manual review of why delivery hasn't started. They can usually identify specific blocking factors.
Hope this helps get your campaigns delivering!

Answered 1 week agoYeah, opening a ticket actually got delivery going, but now I'm seeing super low fill rates on the inventory they're serving, so my daily budget isn't even touching the sides.
