hey everyone, i'm super new here and just launched my first ip lookup tool, pretty excited but also a bit lost. the main thing is, the ip geolocation results often seem way off, like an ip address is showing up in a completely different city or even country sometimes. is this a normal thing for these kinds of web tools, or am i missing something fundamental about how ip geolocation data works? any thoughts would be super helpful. thanks in advance!

I understand how frustrating this can be; IP geolocation is inherently imprecise as it relies on the IP address database and network infrastructure registration points, which often aren't the end-user's physical location. For better accuracy, you can use tools like What is my IP Address or industry alternatives such as MaxMind GeoIP2 and IPinfo. Are you primarily seeing issues with mobile IP ranges?

Yeah, thanks a lot MD Alamgir Hossain Nahid. This makes so much sense, seriously, I've been googling like crazy and your explanation is way clearer than anything else I've found out there...
