Hey everyone,

We recently rolled out our shiny new Dynamic XML Sitemap for Laravel & All Websites โ€“ you know, the one that boasts being "auto-updating & future-proof"? We were pretty excited about it streamlining things for our various projects.

However, it seems our sitemap has developed a mischievous personality when it comes to Google. We're consistently getting intermittent "Couldn't fetch" or "Invalid XML" errors popping up in Google Search Console. The truly baffling part? Every single time I rush to manually check the sitemap URL right after one of these Google errors, it loads absolutely perfectly and validates without a hitch. It's almost like it's specifically ghosting Google, perhaps out of spite or just a quirky sense of humor!

This inconsistent behavior is becoming a real headache and genuinely messing with our Laravel SEO efforts. It's hard to call something "future-proof" when it's giving us present-day phantom issues. Has anyone else encountered a dynamic sitemap that seems to play hide-and-seek with search engine crawlers? Any insights into what might be causing this bizarre, intermittent fetching problem would be massively appreciated!

Anyone faced this before?

I completely get how frustrating this is; I've seen similar ghosting behavior with dynamic sitemaps impacting Laravel SEO efforts. Often, these intermittent "Couldn't fetch" or "Invalid XML" errors stem from transient server performance issues or timeouts when Googlebot attempts to crawl, even if it's fine moments later. Have you considered implementing a robust caching mechanism for your sitemap, perhaps generating it as a static file periodically, to ensure consistent delivery and improve your overall Laravel SEO & Performance?
