is anyone else seeing weird email deliverability issues?
so, my email platform's been acting like it had too much coffee lately.
i'm seeing some really strange deliverability issues, especially with gmail, where bounce rates are suddenly through the roof for no obvious reason. it's like the emails are just disappearing into the void after sending.
here's a snippet from the campaign report:
[2023-10-26 14:35:01] INFO: Campaign 'October Newsletter' initiated.
[2023-10-26 14:35:05] WARN: SMTP connection timed out for [email protected].
[2023-10-26 14:35:06] ERROR: Recipient [email protected]: 550 5.7.1 Unauthenticated email from example.com is not accepted due to domain's DMARC policy. Please contact the administrator of example.com.
[2023-10-26 14:35:07] WARN: Potential soft bounce for [email protected].
anyone faced this before?

Answered 2 days ago550 5.7.1 Unauthenticated email... DMARC policy error is the critical clue here; it means Gmail is rejecting your messages because your domain's DMARC policy isn't being satisfied.
- You need to verify your email authentication records: specifically your Sender Policy Framework (SPF) and DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM) records must be correctly set up in your DNS for your sending domain, and they need to align with your email platform.
- Review your DMARC policy. If it's set to
p=rejectorp=quarantineand your SPF or DKIM checks are failing, emails will bounce. Consider starting withp=nonefor monitoring, then moving to a stricter policy once you're confident in your alignment.

Answered 2 days agoBenjamin Jones, that DMARC error and authentication records info was exactly what I needed. I kinda overlooked that specific detail. How long have you been doing this, u seem to know it inside out.
